You may not be too fussed about the cat's temperament, and believe that with your love and affection any type of cat would become the perfect pet for you. In fact this often happens. Pets need the love of their owner as the owner wants the adulation and affection that any pet will freely give. It is very much a win-win situation. Who can resist the purr of a happy cat as it kneads and snuggles up to you on a cool evening?
There are many stories of pets adopted from a Rescue Shelter (just like mine) that soon fit into the new family who with their loving, bring out the best in that creature.
